No, we are all very much still around; with countries over populating with people.  What I mean is when did we start to lose our humanity?  Riots, fights, shootings, hatred;  I open my social media, turn on the TV, or even my radio and all I hear is this life matters and that life matters, clowns scaring people, cops are bad, cops are good. Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, WHAT DOES IT MATTER?!  Whether you believe in God, Big Bang Theory, or that the world was here this whole time and we are just some organism that evolved, it all boils down to one similar thing:  It doesn’t matter how we came to be, what matters is that we come to exist together.  One did not come before another; we are here all the same.

Oh my?  Did I hit a nerve with some?  I don’t care.  My blog is not only to share my favorite reads, but as a form of therapy for me and a way to maybe change the way one person thinks.  So enjoy my little rant 😉

I am a minority U.S Citizen, born in California and whose parents were born in Guatemala but are now U.S Citizens themselves.  I was raised to always love those around me.  Never judge someone before getting to know them.  What you see on the outside may not what a person really is.  I believe those that treat others with respect deserve mine.  I don’t care if you’re white, black, Hispanic, Asian, Muslim, an alien, or some hybrid creature that’s human by day and a werewolf by night.  OK, my imagination is getting away with me but the point is I do NOT care who you are, what I care about is how you are on the inside and how you will treat your peers, my children, my husband, and me.  Basically what I am trying to say is you matter and so do I.  The others around you matter.  There is a reason we all exist on this planet together.  If one race didn’t matter, then why are they here in the first place?

Here is a project for you:  go somewhere with people and look around.  What do you see?  You may see a fancy looking lady who you think has everything in the world.  Well, at home it’s lonely or filled with so much narcissism and bitterness she will never really enjoy what she has.  See a homeless person?  Is he just a simple alcoholic who couldn’t function or is he a veteran who didn’t find the help he needed for his PTSD and ended up in the streets?  That black person you are looking at.  Maybe he is wearing baggy clothing and so you are thinking “look at that thug”.  Well that “thug” is currently working on his master’s degree so he can do better than his family could ever dream of!  That white “redneck” you are looking at right now would be the one that would give you the shirt off his back and put your needs before his own.  That person would be the most considerate being you could ever meet and could possibly have some amazing stories to share!  So when you look at those around you, really look at them.

Never judge a book by its cover.  You might just like what you find on the inside 🙂
