Well, I’ve done it again. I have finished another book!! This isn’t the usual fantasy YA novel I have normally been reading but it is no less AMAZING! Eternal Darkness is filled with action, drama, unexpected twists, romance, and wait for it…cyborgs. It is book 1 of a trilogy! This book is about life in the future where humans and cyborgs walk the Earth, although not peacefully. Earth is a place where cyborgs and people struggle to know what its like to be human. Where humans look down on the “machines” because they are different, even though they were once human.
The Summary: The world is divided between humans and cyborgs.
Scarlet Lock is neither.
She is a soldier created to kill on command. But her memory has been erased and when she awakens in a government facility she soon discovers that this new world is a dangerous place, full of government secrets and cruel experiments performed in the name of progress.
With the help of a group of cyborgs, Scarlet will fight to uncover the truth and transform the future of the new world she now lives in.
Eternal Darkness is full of suspense, action and romance and will make readers question what it means to be human.
The Cover: I really like it! Its simple but yet attractive and catching to the eye (no pun intended).I love the color J F Johns used and the eye on the front is an interesting choice. If you really look at it looks human but at the same time it doesn’t. I can honestly say this is a book I would read more than once. Scarlet, the main character is my favorite. She isn’t your lost mopey girl that you just get tired of feeling sorry for. She is neither human or cyborg. But her feelings are human. She is courageous, a fighter, scared, sad and lost sometimes but she stands tall and tries to overcome everything she has been through. She fights against what she was created for. The other characters are also really good! Their character and personalities very well written out into words. I really felt like I was in their minds. Eternal Darkness is such a good book that you don’t even notice you’re breezing through it. It’s available now on Amazon in paperback and kindle edition.
